It’s a very quick and easy recipe with very little oil in it. You can serve this crunchy namkeen to your guests on festivals, enjoy it as an evening snacks, as a diet food, on picnic or during travelling. It’s a perfect snack for evening tea.

To give it more rich taste you can add cashew, almonds, raisins, makhane and sliced dry coconut.

This is a light & healthy no fry snack recipe and is amazing in taste. This namkeen can be stored for about one week.

Ingredients:

  • Puffed rice (murmura) 2 cups
  • Flatten Rice (poha) 2 cups
  • Peanuts ½ cup
  • Poha Masala Powder 2 tbsp
  • Curry Leaves 25
  • Black Salt as per taste
  • Turmeric powder 1/4tsp
  • Dry Mango Powder ( amchur ) ½ tsp
  • Sugar powder 2 tbsp
  • Oil 1 ½ tbsp.
  • Red chili powder ½ tsp optional

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a kadhai. Add curry leaves and peanuts to it.
  2. Roast over medium to low heat. Keep stirring.
  3. Add turmeric powder mix and keep roasting until peanuts start to crackle.
  4. Add murmura and poha, mix well.
  5. Now one by one add all the seasonings poha masala, black salt, amchur powder and powdered sugar.
  6. Mix well and roast until poha and murmura turns crunchy. Keep stirring and keep the flame medium to low.
  7. Once done turn off the heat and let the namkeen cool completely.
  8. Store it in an air tight container, it stays good for about a week.
