How to make Fresh Strawberry Yogurt/Flavored Yogurt recipe/Flavored Frozen Yogurt Recipe

Strawberry yogurt is among one of the best flavored yogurts. It is very easy to prepare and tastes awesome. It can be served chilled or even frozen yogurt. For making strawberry yogurt we will need strawberry sauce and hung curd. Recipe to of hung curd and strawberry sauce is given in my website.

Strawberry yogurt is so silky and creamy that it just melts in the mouth. If you want strawberry yogurt without chunks , then You can puree the strawberry sauce and then use it .

So, let’s start making strawberry yogurt…..

 

 
 

Ingredients

  • Homemade fresh Strawberry sauce – ¼ cup
  • Hung Curd – 1 cup
  • Milk – 1 cup + ½ cup
  • Sugar powder – ½ cup
  • Corn flour – 1 tbsp

Directions :

  1. Mix corn flour in ½ cup of cold milk and keep aside.
  2. Heat another 1 cup milk in a sauce pan.
  3. When it starts to bubble from sides, lower the heat and add corn flour milk into it while stirring it.
  4. Keep stirring otherwise corn flour will form lumps into the milk.
  5. Add sugar at and cook until it comes to a boil.
  6. Lower the heat and cook it for 2-3 minutes more.
  7. Keep stirring otherwise corn flour will stick at the bottom and sides of the pan.
  8. You could see a thin layer of corn flour mixture on the spatula.
  9. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool completely.
  10. While it is cooling stir it occasionally, to avoid formation of a creamy layer (malai) on top of the milk.
  11. Stirring will keep the mixture smooth and break the lumps.
  12. If you are going to use it later then keep the mixture in the refrigerator.
  13. For the final assembling – Take hung curd in a big mixing bowl, add cold milk mixture into it (never add hot or warm corn flour mixture otherwise curd will get sour and will release water) and mix well with a wire whisk.
  14. Now add strawberry sauce into it and mix well.
  15. Strawberry sauce should neither be hot nor frozen, it should be at room temperature, so that it mixes well.
  16. You can taste and adjust sugar at this stage.
  17. Cover and let it chill in the refrigerator for few hours before serving.

 

Tips

  • Keep stirring the milk otherwise corn flour will stick at the bottom and sides of the pan.
  • Stir the milk mixture occasionally, while it is cooling to avoid formation of creamy layer (malai) on top of the milk.
  • If you are going to use milk mixture later, then keep the mixture in the refrigerator.
  • Strawberry sauce should neither be hot nor frozen, it should be at room temperature, so that it mixes well.
  • Sugar can be adjusted according to taste.
  • Always cover and let the strawberry yogurt chill in the refrigerator for few hours before serving.
